What dose it mean to materialize?
As industrial designers, our role is to envision possibilities for the objects and experiences of the built environment. To do this, we have learned skills to bring ideas to life. From two-dimensional sketching and planning, to modeling and building, we bring concepts closer and closer to reality.
What is our story?
The first cohort of our kind, we have materialized from behind the screen. We entered into DAAP as faces on zoom calls, logging onto our classes instead of walking into school. But we quickly learned how to transcend the digital constraints. Through our semesters on campus, co-op, and abroad, we have become multi-dimensional designers.
It hasn’t been a linear process. Through our time at DAAP, we have practiced ways to approach design which can foster a beautiful and positive collective future. Now, we are ready to materialize as designers through the portal of graduation.
